Members may access home mortgages from banks using their benefit entitlements as collateral.

For a member to qualify for the loan, he must be Tanzanian and has contributed the Fund for at least 10 years.

• Loan amount accessible shall not exceed 50% of Special lump sum amount where the member has less than 180 months of contribution.
• If the member has contributed for 180 months or more loan amount shall be limited to 50% of commuted Pension Gratuity. Loan recovery shall be limited to members’ statutory retirement age.
